Why did I buy the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription?

I already had a license for Photoshop CS6 but I really wanted to get Premiere Pro and After Effects for video making so I did some calculations.

My assumptions was that prices would not change significantly and that Adobe would upgrade applications every second year and that I would upgrade every time.

I saw 3 options.

Option 1:

Buy Premiere Pro + After Effects and subsequently upgrade.
- Initial cost DKK 7913 for Premiere Pro and DKK 9775 for After effects, in total DKK 17688. Subsequent upgrades for all applications would be DKK 1925 for Photoshop, DKK 1350 for Premiere Pro, DKK 1575 for After Effects, in total DKK 4850. With the subscription cost at DKK 5316 a year it would seem that subscribing is more expensive but remember the initial cost. It takes some years before it turns around.

Option 2:

Buy Master Collection and subsequently upgrade.
- Initial cost DKK 26088 and DKK 4650 for ugrades. Again cheaper than subscription but again because of the initial cost it would take years before subscription is more expensive.

Option 3:

Subscription. DKK 5317 a year. First year though DKK 3252 for existing owners of valid licenses.

Of course if I had the Master Collection license already the benefit would be much less and probably not worth choosing the subscription.

So with those costs and with the extra benefits I choose subscription.

Do you OWN calculations and make your decision based on that.
